The Framlingham Business Association brings like-minded owners of local businesses together to share drive and determination, forge valuable partnerships and make a real difference to the community and its future.
Framlingham has an impressively diverse business community and a fine reputation as a friendly town in which to live and work. In 2010, a small number of local businesses saw the opportunity presented by this diversity and worked to create a local networking platform. The Framlingham Business Association (FBA) is a fast-growing, not-for-profit membership organisation which is supportive, enterprising, lobbying, caring and above all community-conscious.
What the FBA recognises is that together, we can make business better, create meaningful partnerships, bring more to the community as a whole and even have some fun in doing it!
We work to share and act on business news,to develop on- and off-line marketing opportunities and use joined-up thinking with other market towns such as Aldeburgh, Leiston, Saxmundham and Woodbridge under the Heritage Coast Market Towns Initiative to lever partnership funding.
We also use our energy and expertise behind the scenes through events and PR activities to attract shoppers, visitors and companies to enjoy themselves and do business with local enterprises here in Framlingham.
Significant progress has also been made in bringing companies, schools, local clubs and voluntary organisations together to work on major community-wide events which will present outstanding precedents for the future.
Whether your business is a new start-up, recent relocation or been part of the Framlingham furniture for years, FBA membership offers the chance put your company firmly on the Framlingham business map.
Framlingham has a rich and well-documented history as a busy and prosperous market town with many local businesses continuing to thrive over several generations.
Some of these time-honoured names are still on the shop fronts of Framlingham businesses in the 21st century and although many premises have changed use, many town centre businesses are sited in characterful properties.
Today’s community of diverse businesses – from retailers and manufacturers to service providers - is still very much the heart beat of our town and recent new investments, such as the Framlingham Technology Centre, serve only to confirm the confidence in Framlingham’s business future.
Like the town’s landmark castle, the FBA is unique and very important to the economy of Framlingham. The value of its whole outstrips the sum of its parts. It is a tower of strength which intends to be around to support both our businesses and our community well into the future.
We do hope you will join us.
