SausageFest 2015 – Winners, Photos and Thankyous

October 10th – Thousands were drawn by the fine weather, as well as the smell of sizzling sausages, at the annual Framlingham SausageFest.

Armed with a booklet showing the various venues where producers were cooking up samples, the crowds followed the tantalizing SausageFest trail. Along the way, they also found entertainment and workshops, as well as all the local shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants – plus a host of gift, craft and food stalls.

Each member of the public who had a booklet with stamps from every venue was entitled to vote for their favourite in two categories: thank you for completing the trail as well as your voting form. We can never second-guess what flavours will tickle your tastebuds and get your vote, but we know you enjoy tasting them all.

The awards, held at The Railway Inn in Framlingham, were handed out as follows:

mills and sons

“Best Winter Sizzler” – Mills and Sons, from Southwold (see above)

“Best Gluten Free Sausage” – Emmerdale Farm Shop, Darsham
