Reasonable effort is made to ensure that information carried on our site will be accurate and up-to-date. This is done in good faith and we do not accept any liability for error or omission with regards to site content. Even where there is a hypertext link from this site, we do not accept responsibility for the content of any third party site. Our privacy statement only applies to our own websites. It should be noted that the information included in the individual business directory entries has been supplied by the companies in question, is reproduced here in good faith: it is not reflective of any FBA opinions and we do not accept any liability for error or omission with regards to site content.

We shall not be liable for any damages arising in contract, tort, or otherwise from the use of or inability to use this site, or any material contained in it, or from any action or decision taken as a result of using this site or any such material.

The information we may collect

The Framlingham Business Association website does not currently require membership. As with most other websites, we collect and use the data contained in server log files. The information in the server log files include your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox), the time you visited our site and which pages you visited throughout our site this information is not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

We also use third-party analytical data gathering tools for the purposes of aggregate visitor traffic information which may set a cookie on your computer. The data collected by these third-party services may include information such as your IP address, type of web-browser, and computer operating system. The Framlingham Business Association website uses a small number of text cookies to enhance the functionality of the website.

How the information is used

We share information with Association members and selected outside parties through partnership organisations / associations such as the Heritage Coast Market Towns Initiative. Once accepted into membership, your information provided through our contact form will be published on this website unless the FBA chairperson is expressly requested not to in writing.

The information gathered is analysed to help us understand how well the website is performing.

Data security

The Framlingham Business Association website uses reasonable security procedures to maintain the confidentiality of the information you provide. The Internet is however an open public facility and no security measures are guaranteed.

Information collected when you request FBA membership

If you join or make enquiries about joining the Framlingham Business Association, we will collect and hold electronically:

• contact information including name, address, telephone number(s) and/or email address(es) and web address(es) as well as description details about your company which will comprise your company’s directory entry on this site
We will use this information:

• to provide the requested service(s)
• to monitor and improve the quality of our service
• to profile and understand our membership base

We may need to pass some or all of the data collected to our UK-based service providers (eg banks, consultants or mailing houses) to enable us to provide the requested service. These third parties do not use your information other than as necessary to provide the requested service. We will also comply with requests for information from government agencies (UK or overseas) for law enforcement and compliance purposes. You may ask us in writing for a copy of the information we hold about you (for which we may charge a fee) and to correct any inaccuracies in your information. We aim to respond to you within 31 days from the receipt of the request.

Mailing list

If you have expressed an interest in membership, then we may contact you with membership marketing materials by post or email. Any requests to be removed from our mailing lists will be complied with as quickly as possible.
