‍Pier is an integrated communications agency based in Suffolk, offering PR, media relations, campaigns, events, social media and influencer services. Founded 18 years ago by Kate Bowden Smith in Felixstowe, the agency now works with clients across both the local area and the UK. Pier’s main office is in Ipswich, with additional team members based in London and Scotland.

Amy has worked in PR for more than 20 years. Originally from Ipswich, she returned to Suffolk after time away studying in Leeds and gaining agency experience in London. Her career spans the public sector, charities, and businesses of all sizes.

Locally, Amy has supported organisations including the East of England Co-op, The Food Museum, Greene King, several local councils, and renewable energy developers. Nationally, she has led campaigns for Specsavers hearing centres, Friends of the Earth and a range of healthcare clients. While much of her work has centred on health, food and environmental issues, Amy is very much a generalist and brings adaptable experience across many industries.

At our session, Amy will share her insights on navigating social media – from choosing the right channels to practical content tips and how to work effectively with influencers.
