Boundary Farm Cottages
The current position in relation to COVID-19 is that holiday accommodation will be able to reopen on 4th July at the earliest. We are accepting new holiday bookings from 4th July 2020. We will continue to monitor the situation and so this may be subject to change. Fortunately, due to the rural location of our cottages and shepherd huts, we should be in a strong position to open at the earliest opportunity. If for any reason we go back into lock down during your travel dates, we can move your dates or offer a refund. For more information and to instant book, visit https://boundaryfarmcottages.co.uk/uncategorised/covid-19-customer-faqs/
Exceptions – In line with Government guidance we have been and are accepting bookings from: People who live in our properties as interim abodes whilst their primary residence is unavailable; Critical workers whose work is critical to the Covid-19 response and non-UK residents who are unable to travel to their country of residence during this period;
People who are unable to move into a new home due to the current restrictions
Booking conditions - Our usual terms and conditions will apply after 4th July. Refer to our terms and conditions.
Cleaning - Although we can’t guarantee that our properties are free from infection, all our properties are cleaned and maintained to a high standard. Additionally we are using antibacterial agent on surfaces, hand rails, door knobs, light switches etc. to help reduce the risk of infection.

The government is setting up a scheme which will be called the Coronavirus Self-employment Income Support Scheme which will be open to those who were trading in the last financial year, still trading now, and planning to continue doing so this year.
If a self-employed person or partnership has suffered a loss in income, a taxable grant will be paid, worth 80% of their profits up to a cap of £2,500 per month. Initially, this will be available for three months in one lump-sum payment and will start to be paid from the beginning of June.
To be eligible more than half of a claimant's income needs to be from self-employment. The scheme will be open to those with a trading profit of less than £50,000 in 2018-19, or an average trading profit of less than £50,000 from 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19.
The claim process will be as follows:
· Applicants will not need to make a claim for support as HMRC will use existing information to identify those eligible and will invite application
· The application will require applicants to confirm that they meet the eligibility requirements
· It will be paid straight into a bank account, which eligible taxpayers will need to confirm on their application form
· Applicants do not need to contact HMRC now if they are eligible HMRC will contact them directly.

The Government has produced updated guidance on the Grant Fund Scheme which provides further detail on how this will operate. You can view it here.
This is the third version of the guidance to have been produced in the last two weeks which highlights both how quickly things are changing and the need to keep checking on updates of all the guidance produced to make sure you are operating from the most recent version.
